Provided here are summaries of various positions and responsibilities I have taken on in the spirit of serving the university community.

Mentorship Activities
(UO & OSU)

2014-Present: Participating in student and peer mentorship is something I find incredibly important. Since 2014 I have had the honor of mentoring 6 rotation students (UO), 2 summer REU students (UO), and 2 undergraduate research students (OSU).

CBEE Writing Group (OSU)

AY 2021-2022: I organized and ran a writing group during to provide a consistent time and place for CBEE graduate students to write.

Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee (UO)

January 2017 – July 2020:  I was invited to serve as the student member of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee at the University of Oregon. While on the committee I helped assess the state of the learning environment and the department's DEI efforts, allocate funds towards student led DEI initiatives, and contributed in the effort to create the inaugural ChemREFS program.

Chemistry and Biochemistry Graduate Representative Advisory Team (UO)

Fall 2017 – Fall 2018:  Student elected representative to facilitate better communication between graduate students and faculty in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Oregon.

Richmond Lab Safety Officer (UO)

Fall 2015 – Spring 2020:  I served as the primary point of contact between EH&S and the Richmond Lab. My responsibilities included lab safety trainings, maintaining the inventory, safety refreshers, organizing waste disposal, and communicating with EH&S.
